I saw this on Yahoo! News this afternoon and thought it was really interesting. I highly suggest you all watch it. Aside from it being a really interesting subject, I really like the graphics so that makes the video even better
I can't figure out how to post the actual video on here, but just follow the link given. HERE

Chicago vs. Los Angeles
On one hand, there's Chicago. There's a few places I'd like to intern there, but I haven't found anything in music video production, which is what I'm hoping to try out. But, living in Chicago would mean that I'm close to home and would most likely be living with my sister. I'd also be able to keep working at Panera and spend time with my best friends, which would be really nice.
On the other hand, there's Los Angeles. My biggest lead there is at Rockhard Films (music video production company), which would be an incredible opportunity! Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to live in LA, but things have changed. I still would love to live there someday, but I don't like being away from my family and friends.
There are so many pros and cons to each option! I have so many things to figure out. I'll be going home for spring break in a week, so hopefully my family can help me make a decision.
TTFN- Ta ta for now!

"Do what you love and success will follow."
I try to live by this quote. Personally, I define success as being happy with who you are and where you are in life. It doesn't matter to me if I'm financially "successful"; what matters is that I am happy and continue to live without regrets.
This is why I've chosen a career in the music industry. I know that it's a risky field to get into and I'm not guaranteed a consistent, steady job, but it's what makes me happy. I don't want to be the person 20 years from now that dreads going to work each day and waits for the clock to hit 5 so I can leave work.
The music business will allow me to combine all of my interests (promotion, photography, video, etc.) into one, incredible career. I couldn't imagine myself studying anything else. I am so lucky to have a family and friends that support me in my decision to pursue my goals.

Hello!
I figure a name explanation might be necessary for this blog. Obviously, my name is Robin...big shocker!
The title of this blog is "Robin in the Rain," which happens to be a song that my friends and family used to sing to me when I was a kid. I hated it when I was young, but I'm embracing it now.
I'll be using this blog for more "professional" purposes rather than my tumblr, which is more personal. So I guess keep reading if you want to know about my life when it comes to college and my career.
G'night!
